OVERVIEW
Since 2005, teenagers have descended on The Salvation Army’s
X-culture centre in Vancouver to be trained for mission and
used in one of North-America’s poorest neighborhoods. Most kids
spend their March break watching movies or looking for trouble.
Why waste your time on sin or spend thousands of dollars
traveling overseas when there is a mission field is right here
in BC? RAW is a HEROES’ HOLIDAY in North America’s poorest
postal code where teens share God’s love to inner-city children
and the homeless.
WHY?
God wants to use you. His plans for you are way bigger and way
scarier than you can imagine. He’s not waiting for you to grow
up or go to Bible college. God wants to use you now! He doesn’t
call those who are equipped, He equips those who are called. Do
you want to learn more about prayer, worship, servant-hood and
mission. Do you want to engage the homeless, drug-addicted and
prostituted with God’s love. RAW is for you! At RAW you’ll
learn from urban-missionaries, see miracles in the streets and
know what it means to get your hands around the devil’s throat!
Are you ready and willing?
PROGRAM & MISSION
At RAW you will have the opportunity to learn from world
renowned speakers, professional musicians and The War College.
There is worship, dance, mission and ministry, small groups,
solid preaching/teaching and we have a non-stop prayer room
going night and day. God is glorified on the streets and you
will make friends with some very hurting people.

TESTIMONIES from RAW '07
Ashley Mayer, The Salvation Army New
Westminster - Think Big; Start Small; Dig Deep.
The most impacting part about RAW for me was the practicalness
of it. It wasn't like we were asked to do anything impossible.
We fed the hungry, we lived the Word, we prayed, we worshipped.
I loved how none of these things are going to stay here at
RAW. They're going home with us. I think it is pretty darn
sweet that it was focused on love because nothing matters
without
love.
Randy Wheeler, Summerland Baptist
Church - I am so blessed and grateful to have been here.
To be able to spend 3 days in such a prayer saturated
atmosphere is a total gift. The times of intense worship and
prayer followed by inspired teaching in the Word by people who
are living the daily reality of service and life among the poor
followed by immediately going out and applying what they
learned on the streets, was an amazing, life altering
experience for my youth and myself.
In over ten years at this [Youth
Ministry] it is probably the best thing I have ever brought my
kids to....
